Bachelor of Arts (BA) is a three-year undergraduate degree program awarded in various humanities subjects such as History, Geography, Political Science, Economics, Psychology, Sociology, Communications, Education, Journalism, International Studies, Philosophy, Religion, Literature, Anthropology, etc. Usually, local colleges provide these degrees in local languages also; Like in Uttar Pradesh it is provided in Hindi along with English, In Kerala, these degrees are provided in Malayalam along with English and Hindi, In Orrisa along with Hindi and English it is provided in Odia, In Telangana and Andhra Pradesh along with English and Hindi it is provided in Telugu also. However, there are few subjects which are referred to either in English or Hindi only, such as Economics is usually preferred in English only.

Eligibility Criteria:-

A student after passing 12th can choose any of the humanities subjects to pursue a bachelor’s degree according to their interest and preference.

Admission Process:-

Usually, good colleges give admission based on merit that is marks obtained in 10+2
or equivalent, like Delhi University (DU), while Some colleges conduct their entrance examination too like Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU). At the state level, universities usually give admission based on marks obtained in 12th.
