What is BDS/Bachelor of Dental Surgery?

BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery) is the most sought professional course after MBBS especially for those students who want to pursue MBBS but because of some reasons, he\she could not get admission in MBBS. B.D.S is a 5 year-long undergraduate program involving advanced study in the diagnosis and treatment of the jaws and soft & hard oral tissues by surgery. The main focus of the BDS course syllabus revolves around a topic related to teeth or related to dental subjects

Eligibility Criteria:-

10+2 with science stream especially Biology stream. There are some college which seek 50% to 60% in 10+2 aggregate to give admission in their colleges.

Admission Process:-

At the national level National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET) is conducted to give admission in different colleges across India according to the merit obtained in the test. Apart from this there are few colleges which conduct their own entrance test too.
