All About ME/Mechanical Engineering-

Mechanical Engineering

What is Mechanical Engineering (ME)

Mechanical Engineering is an undergraduate four-year engineering course. Mechanical Engineering is the study of the design, development, and construction of Machines of any kind. It is the combination of physics and Mathematics, in principle, it is associated with materials science to design, analyze, manufacture, and maintain mechanical systems. It is one of the oldest and broadest engineering branches. Increasing Mechanization in the manufacturing sector and increasing mechanization in almost every aspect of life has increased the scope of Mechanical Engineering; it has become one of the most demanding engineering courses as far as carrier is concerned.

Eligibility:

10+2 with science stream especially Mathematics stream. There is some college which seeks 50% to 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 as minimum eligibility to pursue Mechanical Engineering. However, it differs from college to college.

Admission Process:-

Usually combined entrance examinations are conducted such as JEE Main, JEE Advanced to give admission in various colleges. Apart from this, there are few colleges that conduct their own entrance examination such as SRMJEEE, BITSAT, VITEEE, KIITEEE.
