B. pharma/Bachelor of Pharmacy
Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharma) is a four-year undergraduate course. It is the study and method of preparing drugs and how the dispensing of medicine and drugs take place. Its importance could be understood by the fact that in most countries including India this degree is a prerequisite to practice as a pharmacist. In other words, this degree is compulsory for registration to practice as a pharmacist. The essential eligibility to pursue this program is, one should have passed the 10+2 with science stream, especially with Biology. It is considered one of the best fields of study for both who want to open their pharmacy store or join the pharma industry.
Eligibility criteria for B.Pharma
- Minimum Qualification Required: 10+2 or equivalent examination.
- Minimum Marks Required in 10+2 in science stream 50%-60% differ from collages to collages.
- Age Limit: Age limit for B.Pharm is 20 years for the reserved category and 22 years for the unreserved category.
Admission process:-
To get admission in B.Pharma there are two ways first is through entrance examination which is usually conducted at both at the state level like MHT-CET Maharashtra Entrance Test, Goa Common Entrance Test, etc or nation levels like BHU-B Entrance Exam, NEET, etc and second is based on marks obtained in 10+2 that is on merit basis.
