What is Civil Engineering?
Civil Engineering (CE) is a four-year undergraduate engineering course. It deals with the design, construction, and maintenance of physical and natural built environments such as roads, bridges, canals, dams, buildings, airports, etc. It is considered as the second-oldest engineering discipline after military engineering. Increasing infrastructure development like road, railway, and electricity have raised the demand for Civil Engineers. Apart from this growth in the real estate sector has also increased its demand and made it a lucrative carrier course. Civil Engineering (CE). is one of the oldest engineering disciplines in the world and its operation can be traced back to the time when men decided to put a roof over his head for shelter.
Eligibility:-
10+2 with science stream especially Mathematics stream. There are some college which seeks 50% to 60% aggregate marks in 10+2 as minimum eligibility to pursue Mechanical Engineering. However, it differs from college to college.
Admission Process:-
Usually combined entrance examinations are conducted such as JEE Main, JEE Advanced to give admission in various colleges. Apart from this, there are few colleges that conduct their own entrance examination such as SRMJEEE, BITSAT, VITEEE, KIITEEE.
