What is M.A/Master of Arts

Master of Arts (MA) is two year post-graduate master’s degree. It is in-depth study of what one has taught in Bachelor of Arts. MA course makes the study in-depth and specific. Like in graduation usually students study almost every aspect of history like History of India, History of Europe, its ancient, medieval, and modern history but in MA study becomes specific and in-depth, like only European History.

Eligibility:-

A Bachelor’s degree is the minimum eligibility to pursue MA, apart from this at least 50% marks is mandatory in that particular subject in which one wants to pursue a master’s. However this 50% may increase depends on the particular college\university.

There is an assumption that Arts are not directly employable however it is not true. Usually, students choose to pursue Arts because they like that subject, they have interest in that subject, hence it is not very difficult to pursue a profession which is actually associated with their like or interest. Hence arts are as remunerative or employable as science and commerce subjects are.
