Master of Business Administration (MBA) is a two-year post-graduate master’s degree, there is a similar course name Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM), although both have the same value but MBA is a degree in Masters while PGDM is a post-graduate diploma course. However PGDM is diploma course but has the same prestige as that of an MBA, it can be understood by the fact that the most prestigious business school of India award PGDM certificate, like all the Indian Institute of Management. Basically, the main difference between MBA and PGDM is that MBA or Master of Business Administration is a degree course that can only be offered by the colleges affiliated to universities, whereas PGDM or Post Graduate Diploma in Management is a diploma course offered by autonomous institutes.

Eligibility:- 

The minimum eligibility to pursue MBA is a bachelor’s degree in any stream or in any subject. There are few college which seek minimum aggregate marks which falls between 45% to 60%.

Admission Process:-

• Usually two ways are there to get admission to pursue MBA first is on the basis of marks obtained in graduation. There are some colleges which give admission in their colleges on the basis of marks obtained in graduation, these percentage marks differ from college to college. 

• Second way to get admission is by clearing entrance examination in JMI.
